PRAYER REQUESTS FROM JANUARY 13, 2009

·         For 5 students in a 2 month scripture-devotion program: that they will hear God's Spirit and develop a lifelong hunger for the Word.

·         For 30 students in the J-term program: that they will be strengthened in faith and empowered for service

·         For preparations for Catholic Central Service Day on Friday, April 16, 2010

Children’s Rescue Center

·         For Selena Martin and Hannah House now that they are their own ministry

·         For financial resources that are needed

– The Arks

•        God’s continued direction and blessings as we continue to reach kids for Jesus

CitiLookout

• Praise for the great opportunity to serve alongside other ministry leaders to work for the kingdom of God in 2010
• For wisdom and discernment to lead CitiLookout and the staff and volunteers.
• For planning and implementation of 2010 Springfield Women’s Conference scheduled for Oct. 9, 2010; that God will draw women together all over the city to be a dynamic force for Kingdom business in Springfield.

Emmanuel Christian Academy

·         The Beard family: 5 children (who attend Emmanuel) lost their father when Keith, Sr. passed away

·         Re-enrollment and enrollment for the 2010-2011 school year

·         Staff member who is suffering with depression

·         Financial support for the school

·         Successful discipleship with the school

Gathering of Greater Springfield

•        To continue to connect men to men and men to God’s for His glory

Hannah House

•        For Christians who are willing to come alongside the Hannah House in 2010

•        That the needs be known that will build a solid foundation for the this next chapter of God’s work in the Hannah House

•        That mentors will come to minister to the unresolved issues, unhealed pain and unmet needs of Hannah House moms

H.O.P.E. Program

•        God’s Presence in every session

•        New semester LIFE students

•        That young people come to know Jesus

•        That Tony Yoakum’s baby be born healthy and mom Nicole is healthy

•        For God’s ideas and directions in all we do

Impact Bethel

• Worship event on June 5^th: For guidance and protection for the planning process and the event itself

Jobs & More

•        For the Lord to give us courage, strength and financial sources to be of service to Him and the community members who need our help

Marriage Resource Center

·         Wisdom and insight for all of our marriage mentor couples in their assignments

The Nehemiah Foundation

•        That spiritual leadership abound in all we do

•        That our focus be on Jesus

•        That God be given all the glory

Pregnancy Resource Center

·         That God sends the right volunteers needed to meet with clients.

Public School Outreach for Christ

•        That all staff continue to stay in God’s will

•        For Springfield City schools – for all students and teachers

•        For funding for our ministry

•        For Godly homes for the children we serve

Seek God for the City

Springfield Christian Youth Ministries (SCYM)

•        More tutors for our literacy program at STARS

•        Joyful trust in God’s provision this year

•        For new leaders to emerge for Young Life middle school clubs for the fall as current leaders will graduate in May

•        For God’s renewal for each of our staff and volunteer leaders

•        For God to move and change kids’ lives (as always!)

Urban Child Evangelist of Salvation Army

• For the upcoming youth and young adult prayer retreat on Valentine’s Day weekend – That these young people hear from God and gain a little more understanding about prayer and the power of it.

Urban Light Ministries

•        Continuous prayer for the release of funding

•        For kids from terrible homes – that God’s love is evident in even the smallest acts and words of kindness in the home, at school and at Young Life
