THE ARK of Children’s Rescue Center  s  Sue Rose  324-2529  s  Provides after-school activities, study tables, food, and Bible study for urban elementary age children in a safe and caring atmosphere.

 

CHANGING LIVES NOW  s  Sim Bowen  323-6396  s  Through Adopt-a-block and Libra Program, men and women are served and discipled to be true followers of Christ who will radically transform the world they live in.

 

CHILDREN’S RESCUE CENTER  s  Meredith Berzins and Nikki Tighe 324-2529  s  Needs of urban families are met by reaching out with the love of Jesus Christ in a holistic, comprehensive approach.

 

CITILOOKOUT s  Shelley Lopez  322-6532  s  Partners with individuals and families, counseling them toward emotional, relational and spiritual healing and networking them to effective community resources.

 

DAILY BREAD of Children’s Rescue Center  s   Betty Patton & Liz     Harris  324-2529  s  Food and clothing are distributed weekly and there are Bible studies, a monthly dinner for neighborhood ladies, and fun nights for men.

 

EAGLE & DOVE ACADEM  s  David Speas  325-2385  s  A faith-based Christian organization dedicated to helping elementary students learn to read at grade level.  It operates 170 days a year for three hours a day after school.  Sonshine Club is offered on Friday afternoons.

 

THE HANNAH HOUSE s  Selena Martin  450-2260  s  Assists single mothers and their babies who are in a crisis, at-risk, or are homeless by providing a temporary home, mentoring and services.

 

H.O.P.E. PROGRAM  s  Jackie Mounts  322-4673  s  Referred by the Juvenile Court, youth are challenged to examine the spiritual aspect of their lives and begin to understand that God loves them.

 

JOBS & MORE  s  Bea Smith  525-6670  s  Provides employability skills training, support, and employment opportunities for the unemployed, underemployed, and those coming off  welfare and pairs them with a mentor.

 

MENTORING  s  Jackie Mounts  322-4673  s The Nehemiah Foundation, through Kids Hope USA and One2One Mentoring, seeks to mobilize the Body of Christ into meaningful ministry through discipleship and mentoring.  Please contact us for more information on how to get involved at the individual or church level.

 

PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER  s  Ellen Dudney  525-3781  s Provides counseling, education and infant supplies to women experiencing a crisis pregnancy.

 

PUBLIC SCHOOL OUTREACH FOR CHRIST  s  Erv & Angie Holland 505-4193  s  Providing “chaplains” in middle and elementary schools; serving the most “at risk” students by meeting the student’s and their families spiritual, physical, and emotional needs; while also serving the schools.

 

THE SONSHINE CLUB of Urban Light Ministries  s  Rich Herzog and Eli Williams  328-0122  s  Reaches out to children in elementary schools in a weekly fun club setting

 

SPRINGFIELD CHRISTIAN YOUTH MINISTRY  s  Faith Bosland     325-6183  s  Equips youth to become better citizens through basic Christian discipleship, interaction, counseling, fun activities and field trips. 

 

YOUNG LIFE  s  Ben Bonham 322-6643  s  Through the sharing of the gospel, discipleship training, “hangouts,” and summer camp, middle and high school kids take a positive direction in their life — supported by peers and centered on Christ.

CLARK COUNTY JAIL CHAPLAINCY  s  Tony Bailey  521-2079  s  Reaches inmates with the Gospel while they are in jail to help reduce recidivism and help them be productive citizens to our community.

 

EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY  s  Dan Bragg  390-3777  s  Challenges, trains, and mentors students to share their faith, get acquainted with and reach out to people they otherwise would probably never meet. 

 

FAMILY AND YOUTH INITIATIVES  s  Pat Banaszak  845-0403  s  Works hand in hand with the community to educate youth and families to make healthy long-term life decisions.

 

THE GATHERING of Greater Springfield  s  Jeff Pinkleton  206-5595  Addressing the moral, ethical, and spiritual needs of business, professional, and government leaders through one-on-one and large group gatherings.

 

INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK s  Elaina Bradley 325-8154 s Provides shelter and assistance for homeless single men, women, and families with children.

 

INSIDE OUT MINISTRIES  s  Bill Stout  525-9953  s  Adults build relationships with youth in the south and central areas of the city to bring about positive change through activities, mentoring, and connecting with churches. 

 

MARRIAGE RESOURCE CENTER  s  Lavern and Ronda Nissley  322-0789  s  Prepares, strengthens and restores marriages through congregational and community partnerships, relationship education and mentoring. 

 

MISSION INCREASE FOUNDATION  s  Wally Martinson 408-7740 s  Offers a combination of workshops and seminars on multiple topics, as well as personal consultations to train ministries on a wide range of nonprofit organizational issues.

 

SAFE HARBOR HOUSE  s  Carla Brenneman 717-5908  s  Provides safe, transitional shelter for up to eight women coming out of difficult circumstances including incarceration, prostitution/sex trafficking, homelessness, or domestic abuse.

 

SERVICE MINISTRY PROGRAM at Catholic Central High School  s  Marcia Roth 325-9204 ext 24  s  Helps students develop a Christian attitude toward service through J-term, working alongside local urban ministry leaders, and an all-school service day.

 

URBAN CHILD EVANGELIST  of the Salvation Army  s  Ryan Ray  s 322-3434  s  This ministry uses Sonshine Club and Project CHOICE to focus on evangelism of children and youth not associated with a church.

 

 

Also partnering with Springfield City Schools to provide Closing the Academic Gap (CTAG) liaisons in four of the city schools.
